Easy Gratitude is a simple gratitude journal. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use it.
Everything you enter in Easy Gratitude stays on your device. There's no account to create, no server we send your entries to, and no one else can see what you write. If you delete the app, your data is deleted with it — there's no separate copy anywhere for us to hold onto.
We don't collect anything. Easy Gratitude doesn't have accounts, sign-in, or any connection to a server for your journal data. Specifically:
If you allow it, Easy Gratitude can send you a local reminder if you haven't logged a day yet. This reminder is scheduled entirely on your device using Apple's notification system — no data about you or your entries is sent anywhere to make this work. You can turn reminders off at any time in Settings.
Easy Gratitude Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. Payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store — Easy Gratitude never sees or stores your payment details, card information, or Apple ID. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction; all we receive is a confirmation that the purchase happened, which is what unlocks Pro features on your device.
If you unlock Easy Gratitude Pro, your Monthly Report can include a short AI-generated summary of your month. This is generated entirely on your device, using Apple's on-device Foundation Models — your gratitude entries are never sent to a server, to us, or to any cloud AI service to produce it. On devices that don't support on-device AI, this feature simply doesn't appear.
Your entries are stored locally using Apple's standard on-device storage frameworks, protected by your device's own security (passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, encryption at rest, as provided by iOS). We don't have a server, so there's no separate database of yours for us to secure, lose, or be asked to hand over — the data simply isn't anywhere but your device.
Because your entries never leave your device:
If you choose to export your history as a CSV file, Easy Gratitude hands that file to iOS's own share sheet — where it goes from there (Mail, Files, AirDrop, a cloud service, another app) is entirely your choice. Once shared outside the app, that destination's own privacy practices apply, not ours — we have no visibility into or control over what happens to the file after that point.
Easy Gratitude is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children, in keeping with the fact that we don't collect information from anyone.
If Easy Gratitude adds a feature that changes what's described here — for example, an optional cloud backup, or anonymous analytics — this policy will be updated to reflect it, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Significant changes will be called out clearly rather than buried in a date change alone.
Questions about this policy or the app can be sent to gratitude@iosmgm.app.
